I bought this for my mountain bike, and it will be a buy I'll never regret. The cycle computer looks great and stylish, and the simple 2 button control is easy to use.

The only problem was fixing it to my bike, the main display was easy to fit, but the sensor was hard to fit onto the frame. When I got it all on my bike the next thing to do was set the computer up which took a fair while and after that the speed was not registering so I had t move the sensor and the magnet within 2mm of each other.

But apart from these minor faults I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple, easy to read and stylish cycle computer.

Good little computer, but I commute to work on a moutain bike with a raised handlebar for comfort. This means there is about 26" between the wheel sensor and the computer. This seems to cause problems - often the computer doesn't pick up the sensor at all with a constant 0 display. Frustratingly after fiddling with it ; moving the sensor as far up the wheel/fork as possible - it will briefly work, then stops when on the road. If I disconnect the head display and lower it down nearer the sensor - the display works!

Maybe its designed only to work when the wheel sensor and the display unit are close together, so bear this in mind when you buy!

Geared Up Grandstand Single Bike Floor Stand

This really does everything it promises , as they say. A faultlessly , clever design and will probably last forever. I now know that my bike will never fall down , unexpectedly. A bit pricey but worth the money for the peace of mind. You can take it anywhere your bike goes as well. Buy it , if you don't want your bike to fall over!

Having an X-Large framed mountain bike, I had high hopes that this would cope with the size/high centre of gravity. Sadly not and twice now my reasonably expensive bike has crashed to the ground, damaging the frame of the bike. Not happy. Having said that it is robust in build as I have tried, in vain, to beat the crp out of it and it stayed intact.

My advice: this might be good for a child's bike or a smaller framed ladies bike but if you want something that will work for a large framed bike, then pay more for a metal product.

1 star for the robust build....

Although I consider the bike good value for money, I was disappointed that there were no assembly instructions and no tools apart from an allen key. Given that the bike has disc brakes on front I think there should be more assistance provided in getting this set up properly.

I ordered this bike for my son's birthday and was very happy with it:

Large heavy duty packaging prevented any damage

Easy to unpack

Sturdy frame

Disc brakes all round

18 gears

The only bad thing to say about this was, the assembly manual lacked detail...

It had nothing in it about assembling the front wheel and adjusting the disc brake.. not too much of a nightmare to work out for me but, surprisingly missed by the manufacturer.

You need your own spanners to get the pedals and seat on as you only get an allun key to do up the handlebars.

Overall, I'm happy with the bike and got one for myself ;)

This book is great! it is so funny and involes alot of serious information and also alot of jokes . Every mountain biker should have this book in there home.

Bike is pretty cheap looking and of very low quality. Seat is attrocious and I will probably have to replace with something more comfy. Brake levers are in a very akward position and my boyfriend has had to adjust them for me (not easy as one side meant disconnecting brake fully as wire was too taught) which is not what you expect to have to do when you buy a bike. Also the gears are not brilliant and a bit confusing.

Would not recommend this bike to anyone and you can only send it back if it's faulty!

Bought this for my teenage daughter, it was great value for money, arrived promptly and is a really smart looking bike. Really pleased.

Arrived very quickly like all Amazon orders, Very easy to assemble as only the front wheel and handle bars are removed for transit 5 mins to fit and just pop on the saddle adjust for height and tweek the brakes and gears then off you go.I can recomend this mountain bike if you are looking for a budget low cost bike.it's worth it.I missed the kicker stand and the mudguard.The original tyres were usless so I had to buy 2 road tyres 26" by 1.5.Far more enjoyeble the riding.A bit heavy .

Unlike other reviewers we found this a bit fiddly to put together and it needed a bit of thought. It probably took two days to tweak the breaks and (especially) the gears, and the front break still isn't great, although that could be a good thing if you dont want to go over the handlebars!

For the price it is well worth it. Although due to the slightly heavier weight than average it is only suitable for short rides to the park etc rather than the daily commute.

Also things you may want to consider purchasing while you order the bike:

a. new saddle - it is not an amazing pleasant ride even if you have a tiny thin bottom!

b. kick stand.

c. mud guards
