I confess this was an unplanned purchase, bought on a whim (and special offer), although even at full price it's still good value for money. Some assembly was required, but nothing technical or taxing. It looks quality, too. It's not heavy and has easy-to-use gear change. It does not have suspension or disc brakes, but for ordinary leisure use these are unnecessary. The Raleigh name always gives confidence and this is no exception. All in all, a good buy at a great price.
I have bought this bike for my 10 year old daughter who loved the ride staight away and is really happy with it. The delivery was fast, the bike was well packaged and it was also easy to assable, although you need a spanner to adjust the front wheel brake and an Allen-key to fasten the handlebar. The chain needed oiling as well, as it was delivered dry. Get yourself a good quality saddle though as this one is not the comfiest on long journeys! Otherwise it is a really sturdy no frills bike and definitely good value for money. We even got our eldest daughter one as well and she enjoys it equally.
We recommend this bike to anybody who is looking for quality on a budget,it's well worth buying.
